This is a collection of screens that each reflect a specific theme. Some transcend more than one style, such as Popular Values, which combines value and sentiment. Others focus on a single style, such as Well-Rounded Growth. In all cases, the rules are not necessarily specified in order to illustrate the way a particular style can be expressed through screening (this is done through the screens found in the style-based categories). To the extent that these screens are used as teaching tools, they are illustrations of how to combine ideas in order to form an investment story, the sort of story that can hopefully point the way toward superior stock performance. In this regard, the Special Themes screens are similar to our All-Star models, the difference being that the former were reflect our own ideas, rather than those of a well-known investor. We accompany these screens with one of our broad-based pre-set ranking systems, the QVG (Quality-Value-Growth) system. Feel free to experiment by combining the screens with other ranking systems and/or quick-sort criteria. StockScreen123 Screens represent hypothetical or simulated performance, not actual trading. Since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact of certain market factors such as liquidity. Returns may include a slippage amount for each trade. Dividends are not included. Remember that past returns are no guarantee of future returns.
